Stockholm industrial site turning green

With 12,000 new houses and 35,000 new jobs, the Stockholm Royal Seaport, located at a 10-minute bicycle ride from the city center, is expected to become Sweden’s largest urban development. The City of Stockholm planned to reconstruct the region as part of its urban planning to offer sustainable housing for current and future residents.

The Seaport has taken many steps to address the needs of the community, including:

  • Environment-friendly construction practices
  • Biogas production
  • Electric charging stations
