According to reports, billionaires play a large role in funding polluting businesses with calls growing for a wealth tax to raise money for nations facing climate crisis. According to a report by Oxfam, this could bring in $1.4 trillion annually for developing economies.

The funds raised will be used for:

  • Loss and damage due to climate change
  • Climate breakdown
  • Clean energy investments
