Energy sustainability dependent on green hydrogen production

Analysts at the commercial bank, Silicon Valley Bank, have predicted that carbon dioxide emissions will have to be limited to 25 gigatons by 2030 to limit the effects of global warming. This means increased investments in climate technology sectors such as green hydrogen production to support energy transition strategies.

The reasons why green hydrogen is crucial to energy sustainability include:

  • Among all hydrogen color types, green hydrogen is the cleanest
  • There is no requirement to capture and store carbon dioxide
  • Green hydrogen as a fuel source produces negligible emissions
